Parker 301LT & 772LT Hoses Discontinued [Use 472LT & 772LT Instead]

The Parker Hose Products Division announced yesterday that it will discontinue production of its 301LT and 772LT low temperature hoses.

Parker's (improved) 472LT and 792LT low temp hoses should be used instead. They provide the same low temperature rating for your extreme applications as well as a higher pressure rating in most sizes. 301LT hose is rated to 2,000 PSI in 1” size to 5,000 PSI in 1/4” size; 722 is rated from 2,500 PSI in 1-1/2” through 4,000 PSI in 3/8” size. By comparison, 472LT ranges from 2,500 PSI in 1” ID to 5,800 PSI in 1/4” ID size and 792LT hose features constant pressure rating of 6,000 PSI in all sizes (1” ID through 1-1/2” ID).

Be aware that 472LT hose has a lower working pressure rating than 722LT hose in sizes 5/8” through 1”.

Use of Parker 792LT in place of 722LT hose will also simplify hose fitting selection during hose fabrication. The 797LT uses 79-Series fittings in all sizes, where 722LT uses a combination of 43-Series and 71-Series fittings, depending on size. This simplification reduces the possibility of crimping the wrong series fitting onto hose.

The 301LT and 772LT hoses will no longer be stocked in Parker warehouses after June 30, 2017. After this month, both hoses will be only available by special order and subject to minimum order quantities. After December 31, 2017, 301LT and 772LT hoses will no longer be available.
