2026 Tariff Updates - FAQs
What happened on February 20th?
The Supreme Court ruled that the IEEPA authority used to impose reciprocal tariffs was unconstitutional. Those tariffs were immediately nullified.
Can I stop paying higher prices now that the tariffs were nullified?
Not yet. Pricing cannot change until suppliers confirm whether tariff‑related costs will be removed.
Will the prices go down?
Possibly—but not immediately.
We are meeting with suppliers over the next few weeks. Pricing changes depend on whether they adjust their costs and what the U.S. Court of International Trade determines.
When will I receive my refund?
No refunds have been approved. The U.S. Court of International Trade will decide whether:
- Refunds are allowed,
- They apply retroactively, and
- Companies must prove they did/did not pass tariff costs to customers.
Are open POs being repriced?
Not at this time. We will adjust once suppliers confirm cost changes or if government guidance requires retroactive adjustments.
What about other tariffs?
-
Section 232 and 301 tariffs remain unchanged.
- A new 15% tariff under Section 122 is scheduled to take effect on February 24th.
- Additional tariffs under Section 338 are possible.
