Choosing GlobalCore Hoses and Fittings by Pressure Rating & Size
Hoses by Working Pressure and Size
To choose a hose based on needed working presssure rating and size:
- Find the working pressure needed in the left column of the table below. All GlobalCore hoses available are listed in that row by size.
- Look under the dash size to find the hose(s) for your pressure rating and size.
Example: What hose should you use for 4,000 psi working pressure in 1" (-16) size? Answer: in the 4,000 psi row under the size 16 column, you can see that you can use etiher 487 series or 722 series hose.

Hose Ends by Working Pressure and Size
To choose a fitting to go with a hose selected above, follow the same steps:
- Find the working pressure needed in the left column in the table below. Fittings (hose ends) which are compatible with any GlobalCore hose for the same pressure rating and size are listed in that row by size.
- Look under the dash size to find the fittings(s) for your pressure rating and size.
Example: What fitting(s) should you use for 4,000 psi working pressure in 1" (-16) size? Answer: in the 4,000 psi row under size 16 column, you can see that you should use a 43 series fitting.

Can You Save Money by Using the GlobalCore System?
You are likely a good candidate to benefit from using a GlobalCore System if you fabricate your own hydraulic hose assemblies, and any of these situations apply to your organization:
- Your equipment runs 6,000 psi or less, and hydraulic hoses used are between 1/4" and 2" ID.
- Many different hose styles and fitting configurations are currently stocked. It is possible that your inventory cost can be reduced with GlobalCore system. (Related blog on the inventory topic.)
- It is hard to figure out which fitting (hose end) style should be used with which hose. It is possible to save money with GlobalCore by shortening time it takes to pick the correct hose/fittings combination, and by reducing the cost of re-work.
- It is hard to fit replacement hose assemblies in tight spaces on your equipment. GlobalCore hoses are compact style (smaller ID), feature minimum bend radius that is 1/2 SAE requirement, and are easy to bend and relatively light compared to classic SAE hydraulic hose alternatives. The savings come from the reduced time and effort it takes to snake the hose through tight compartments.
- You are setting up a hydraulic hose fab area and are trying to keep inventory down. GlobalCore system covers hydraulic hose assemblies from 1/4" through 2" inside diameter, and from 3,000 psi to 6,000 psi. The system only uses two fitting series for all five GlobalCore hoses, reducing inventory needs.
