Push-to-Connect Brass Fittings for Plastic Tubing | Parker Prestolok PLP/PLN

Parker PLP Push-to-Connect Fittings

Image of Prestolok PLP Features

Parker's Prestolok PLP and PLN* is a one-piece push-to-connect brass fitting for low-pressure pneumatic circuits, where assembly or disassembly and reassembly are important. PLP designates nickel-plated brass body, PLN designates brass body without nickel plating. A stainless steel grab ring grips the tubing to provide retention. Swivels are featured on all male pipe threaded shapes for installation in tight places and for precise positioning. The fittings are corrosion-resistant, with a pre-applied thread sealant and nitrile D-seal.

Starting December 2011, the Parker PLP fittings replace PrestoWeld fittings and comply with the UL94 V-0 flame resistance standard.

To order a brass body without nickel plating, replace "PLP" in the part number with "PLN".

Do not use for live swivel applications. For swivel applications, use oscillating elbows.

Recommended Tubing

Parker Prestolok metal fittings are designed to work with the following Parker tubing:

Inch sized Parker Prestolok nickel plated fittings can also be used with Polyurethane 85 durometer shore A. However, not all manufacturers of 85A PU tubing approve the use of their tubing with push-to-connect fittings.

Testing has shown that certain OD-ID combinations can be used but applications and service conditions vary. Therefore, the use of a tube support may be required for any 85A PU tubing.

The following OD-ID size combinations require the use of a tube support regardless of application:
(all sizes in inches)

  • 5/32 - 3/32
  • 3/16 - 1/8
  • 1/4 - .170
