Hydraulic Quick Disconnects | Parker
Skip to Hydraulic QC Selection Parker hydraulic couplings are available in a wide variety of designs, each tailored to a particular application. Each Parker hydraulic coupler generally falls into one of two groups: Double Shut-Off coupling or Straight-Thru coupling. |
Parker Hydraulic Double Shut-Off couplings
Parker Hydraulic Double Shut-Off couplings are used extensively when it is important to minimize fluid loss upon disconnection. Both halves of the coupler, the body, and the nipple, contain shut-off valves. These valves open automatically when the body and nipple are connected, and close automatically when the two halves are disconnected, keeping fluid loss to a minimum.Parker Hydraulic Straight-Thru couplings
Parker Hydraulic Straight-Thru couplings have no valves in either half and are ideal for maximum flow application. Their smooth, open bore offers the lowest pressure drop of any quick disconnect coupling and allows them to be thoroughly cleaned. Since there are no valves in either half, the fluid flow should be shut off before the coupling is disconnected.Parker Hydraulic Quick Coupler Selection

QC Selection Tips
When ordering quick couplers, consider the following:
- Functional requirements of the coupling
- Maximum working pressure of the application
- Coupler seal & body material compatibility with the system’s fluid
- Is the application static or dynamic?
- Size of coupler & hose
- Maximum allowable pressure drop
- Requirement to connect & disconnect under pressure
- Media temperature
- Ambient temperature
- End configuration requirements
- Need for industrial interchange QC
- Effects of air inclusion & fluid loss
