Parker Industrial Hose Selection
Industrial hose is a broad category of rubber hose intended for industrial use. Rubber hose is a reference to the outer cover of the hose and not the inner tube material.
IMPORTANT! Industrial hoses cannot be used in place of hydraulic hoses or pneumatic hoses. Parker’s Industrial Hose Division manufactures 153 different industrial rubber hoses, so you will have no problem finding the hose that fits your application. Parker also provides engineering and manufacturing expertise to ensure the performance and safety of its industrial rubber hoses. |
Most rubber hose manufacturers in the industrial hose industry only manufacture rubber hoses. They do not have the expertise necessary to design and manufacture fittings and clamps as well. Since there are no standards for industrial hoses, like there are for automotive hoses for example, various rubber hoses and fittings from different manufacturers are often used in the same industrial hose assembly. This means that many industrial hoses cannot be guaranteed since each component is from a different manufacturer.
Parker’s industrial hose assemblies, on the other hand, can be guaranteed because Parker is committed to vigorously testing its rubber hoses to validate their performance with hose ends from different manufacturers. Tests include coupling pull-off, impulse, cold bend, electrical conductivity, tensile strength, flex, flex impulse and more.
Visit the Parker CrimpSource website to find out which fittings work with your Parker industrial hose, and the corresponding crimp specifications.
Parker’s Circle of Safety is another tool to help customers select the right industrial hose, fittings and proper fabrication methods.
Parker’s Industrial Hose Division is dedicated to fast delivery and usually ships industrial hose orders to distributors (us) within 24 to 48 hours.
Parker Industrial Hose Selection
Air and Multipurpose Hose
Air & Multipurpose Industrial Hoses are designed for the delivery and transport of air, water, oil and mild chemicals. These versatile hoses have a flexible constructon and superior coupler retention, with multiple plies of textile reinforcement. |
Chemical Hose
Chemical Industrial Hoses are designed to handle delivery and transport of commonly used acids, chemicals and solvents. These hoses often incorporate specially formluated polyethylene tubing that prevent contamination of the material being conveyed. |
Composite Hose
Composite Industrial Hoses are available with customizable inner and outer steel wire components for chemical transfer and vapor recovery service. These durable hoses are more flexible and easier to bend and install than conventional rubber hoses, with high kink and vibration resistance to keep the hose in place. |
Dock Hose
Dock Industrial Hoses are heavy duty suction and discharge hoses designed to transfer between bargers, storage tanks and marine vessels. These hoses incorporate a specially formulated tube to resist media to 50-100% aromatic content. This category also includes specialty heat-resistant molten sulphur and hot tar & asphalt hoses. |
Food & Beverage Hose
Food & Beverage Industrial Hoses are designed to deliver and transport food, beverages and potable water in a variety of applications. They often incorporate stainless steel mandrels for ultra-smooth tubing that does not impart taste or odor and is resistant to bacteria and microbes. The hoses are rated to FDA, USDA and 3-A standards. |
Material Handling/Dredge Hose
Material Handling & Dredge Industrial Hose is designed to handle abrasive materials such as dry cement, concrete and plaster. These durable hoses are resistant to weathering and scuffing, with inner tubing constructed with thick rubber to minimize abrasion and dissipate static electricity. |
Oil Field Hose
Oil Field Industrial Hoses are designed to handle crude oil, petroleum waste, slurries and other mediums found in the extreme conditions of oil field worksites. This category also includes high pressure jetting, frac tank and hot oiler hoses. |
Petroleum (Aircraft) Hose
Petroleum Aircraft Industrial Hoses are designed for aircraft fueling applications. Premium nitrile tubing in Parker's aircraft fueling hoses reduce permeation and prevent contamination of the product, while pneumatic air hose systems prevent fuel spills and monitor pressure and flow. |
Petroleum (Dispenser) Hose
Petroleum Dispenser Industrial Hoses are designed to dispense and transfer gasoline and other petroleum-based fuels. The CPE and chloroprene covers are cut, abrasion and ozone resistant, and will not damage the finish of a vehicle. |
Petroleum (LPG) Hose
LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) Industrial Hoses are designed for the delivery and transfer of LP gas and propane in commercial/residential heating, construction, agriculture and general consumer applicatons. They can also be used for large volume bulk loading/unloading and vibration-resistant onboard vehicle connections. |
Petroleum (Transport) Hose
Petroleum Transport Industrial Hoses are designed for oil and fuel delivery/transport applications, with oil-resistant covers and electrical discharge paths that conduct static charge to the ground. These hoses can handle biodiesel, diesel, ethanol, gasoline and other petroluem-based mediums. |
PVC Hose
PVC Industrial Hose can be used in a wide variety of industrial applications, from the food and beverage industry to the construction and mining industries. The smooth, abrasion-resistant PVC tubing doesn't impart taste or odor to the material being transported. Flexible, lightweight construction makes PVC hose and tubing lighter than comparable rubber hose assemblies. |
Specialty Hose
Specialty Industrial Hoses are designed for specific tasks and applications with conditions that other industrial hoses can't meet. These specially formulated hoses can often handle higher temperatures with flame resistant materials, or have tougher barriers to prevent permeation and contamination. |
Steam Hose
Steam Industrial Hoses are designed to withstand the high temperatures and moisture of saturated and superheated steam in steam service applications. The hoses incorporate a tube construction that resists heat and popcorning and covers that are resistant to cracking and hardening. |
Water Hose
Industrial Water Hoses are designed to handle suction and discharge of slurries, water, alkalies, glycols and mild chemicals. The water jetting and pressure washing hoses in this category can be used for cleaning, stripping and other applications that require a high-pressure stream of water. |
Welding Hose
Welding Industrial Hoses are designed for oxy-fuel gas welding applications, with color-coded hoses in twin and single configurations for fuel gas (acetylene, hydrogen, natural gas, propane and propylene), oxygen and inert gases. |
