MFCP recently launched its Industrial Hydraulic Technology training course, providing employees and customers with a comprehensive foundation in hydraulic systems and their applications.

This three-day course features hands-on Hydraulic Trainer labs and high instructor engagement, giving participants opportunities to apply the concepts covered throughout the training.

Understanding the fundamentals is key to mastering hydraulic systems. The training begins with the physical principles that govern machine operation, including force, motion, energy, work, power, and efficiency. Participants then explore how hydraulic systems transmit force and energy through fluids, covering essential concepts such as Pascal’s Law, pressure, flow, cylinders, pumps, and accumulators.

The course also examines hydraulic fluids and their role in system performance and reliability. Participants learn about fluid properties, contamination control, maintenance, pump operation, cavitation prevention, hydraulic actuators, and the control of hydraulic energy through directional, flow, and pressure control valves.

As the training progresses, more advanced topics are introduced, including hydraulic pumps and motors, pilot-operated pressure controls, regenerative circuits, hydrostatic drives, and system troubleshooting. The course concludes with reservoir design, cooling methods, filtration, and contamination control practices designed to maximize system performance and equipment life.

Together, these topics provide participants with the knowledge and practical understanding needed to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize modern hydraulic systems.

Expanding Training Opportunities

MFCP has already completed two Industrial Hydraulic Technology training sessions for employees in Aurora in early July. Additional internal and customer-attended classes are scheduled for Corona in August, West Sacramento in September, and Portland in October.

MFCP is also in discussions with two customers about bringing the training directly to their facilities, expanding access to hands-on hydraulic education and helping customers strengthen their teams’ technical knowledge.

Through this training initiative, MFCP continues to invest in technical education and provide the knowledge and resources needed to improve system performance, reliability, and equipment life.
