In conjunction with Petersen, Bechtel and NASA, MFCP was proudly involved with the ongoing Artemis Missions to the Moon.
In a project that substantially stretched our capabilities as a company, MFCP took the task as a challenge and completed our portion of the Liquid Hydrogen (LH2) and Liquid Oxygen (LO2) Tail Service Mast Umbilical’s (TSMU), for our customer Petersen. They were then transported across the country, slowly I may add, to the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These TSMU units are to service Artemis IV and beyond in their launch pad fueling stage, up to the point of liftoff. From NASA’s Mission report, Artemis IV is currently scheduled for launch in 2028 and is to be the first Moon landing since 1972.
Initiated by Jay Parmenter and Jeff Loosli, we engaged with Petersen in Utah several years back. Through the help of more people than I can list, MFCP personnel such as Steven Seitz, Jeff Loosli, Andy Simpson, Dan Vankempen, Tucker Stewart, Jay Permenter, Jeff Potter, Christian Radulescu and a myriad of others took on this historic feat. In the MFCP spirit, we were unfazed by having to do things we hadn’t done before, and despite a massive, outside the box undertaking, we persevered and conquered!
MFCP adds this to the impressive list of past, present, and future projects undertaken and performed admirably. Our reputation in the aerospace and defense markets continues to expand to add to the many industries and markets we currently serve. Our collaborative design and build capabilities make us one of the go-to providers of motion and control systems. We continue to expand our partnerships nationwide, even internationally, to broaden our scope and breadth of capabilities, with successful integration and implementation each and every time.
