The dimensions of Parker HY Series fittings, produced after September 2012, have been changed. Parker Hose Products Division (HPD) is marking all boxes containing the new fittings with a blue label.  The alteration only occurs in straight configurations (sizes -6 and -8).

 

Parker HY Fitting - Design Change

 

  1. The distance between the end of the shell and the end of the nipple is longer in the new design.
    • Based on this change, a modified hose insertion depth has been updated to 1 3/8” for size -6 hose. Hose insertion depth in size -8 will remain the same.
  2. The pre-crimp diameter is larger in the new design.
  3. The shoulder width has changed and is reflected dimensionally in the print above.
  4. The through hole has been increased and is reflected in the above print.
