For use in water systems and food, beverage & other applications where microbial growth can cause problems.
Use with Parker antimicrobial filters to create a complete system.

In water systems, food and beverage, and other applications for transporting media that must remain potable or food-safe, microbes are a constant concern. Algae, mildew and fungi can accumulate inside or outside of tubing due to moisture while they are in use. This accumulation can not only create impurities in the transported substances, but it also leads to premature equipment degradation, which can raise maintenance costs and cause costly break-downs in the production line. Parker has a solution to both problems with their EA Series of tubing.

Agents such as mildew, algae, fungi and biofilm can contaminate media and cause discoloration and odor. To combat this, Parker’s EA Series polyethylene tubing is specially formulated with Sanitized®, a treatment which protects the tubing surface and repels microbial buildup. Sanitized® is not a post-production coating that needs to be reapplied throughout the tubing’s usable life. It is compounded directly into the tubing, eliminating the need for expensive silver additives and protecting both inner and outer surfaces. Your equipment remains protected and microbe-free for longer, preventing unexpected maintenance and replacement costs.

Microbial buildup can also cause material degradation over time if it is not kept in check. The resulting surface damage weakens the tubing and increases the risk of equipment failure and costly downtime. Using Parker’s EA Series treated with Sanitized® prevents this degradation, allowing you to use your tubing to the full extent of its service life.

EA Series polyethylene tubing has many other advantages over other tubing in its class. It is non-leaching and has superior resistance to environmental stress cracking. The series meets FDA and NSF-51 standards, is BPA and phthalate free, and conforms to ASTM D-1248, Type I, Class A, Category 4, Grade E5. It is available in sizes 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2”, and is compatible with a variety of Parker fittings, including Liquifit, Compress-Align and Prestolok. Please see our EA Series page for a full list of compatible fittings. The tubing can be used in conjunction with Parker’s antimicrobial filters for a more complete system of protection.
